In child abuse cases do you have to press charges or does the state just charge them anyways?
Like if a child was molusted from age 3-11 by a sister who was only 2 or 3 years older than them and is still underage.
Or would the state charge them anyways even if the abuser is still underage?
Would they be charged as an adult then?
Would they abusee be taken away if they are in the same household?
The law varies from state to state on how the case would be tried and so forth, but someone does not need to press charges in any felony (which it may actually not be in your state). It is the state’s duty to try anyone accused of a felony, if they believe they can get a conviction. They probably would not proceed if the victim was not willing to testify, however, because it would be difficult to convict. The accused would definitely not be allowed to live in the same house as the person, but they would probably be taken into custody, not the victim taken out of the home, unless the parents were aware of the abuse, in which case they could be charged as well and the victim would probably be placed in state custody. I can get a little more information if you tell us which state it is in.

Why doesn’t the public care that the states are destroying families in order to collect FED Title IV funding?
Through Social Security Title IV funding states are rewarded for removing children from families for "alleged abuse and neglect. We all agree children need to be protected from this but children are needlessly being removed because of the incentives paid to states by the Federal Government not because of any abuse. If the children can be deemed "special needs" they get lots more money. The cost to taxpayers for this elephant in the living room is over $500,000,000,000 a year.
If your teenager makes a false complaint to Child Protective Services because he/she is mad at mom and dad you are about to jump on a financially devestating and emotional roller coaster you will never ever forget. The other children in your home will be removed and the statistics show they are 10 times more likely to be abused by molestation, neglect and other physical abuse in foster care than if left in the care of biological parents with services offered to the family.
It doesn’t quite work that way. A teenager can complain to CPS and they won’t instantly take away your other children. They’ll open an investigation. Many times, true abuse cases aren’t even prosecuted because case workers don’t investigate thoroughly enough. Bottom line, if parents get their kids taken away after a CPS investigation, it was certainly deserved.

Physical Child Abuse Essay – Possible Topic? Ideas?
- a statement of what you , as a researcher, want to investigate.
Answer: As a researcher, I would want to investigate on why parents thinks that physical abuse will smarten their child up. Or they think that’s the only reason on how the child is going to learn.
–my question to you guys is. Is that good enough? Should I reword it? Or do you have any other ideas?! HELP. *braindeaddd.
As a researcher I will investigate the reason that some parents consider physical abuse appropriate educational motivation for their children.
Hope this helps!

What is considered child emotional abuse in Arizona?
I need an idea of what is considered emotional abuse of a child. My separated husband tells my kids stuff like "Mommy is trying to put Daddy in jail because he doesn’t have much money to give her." My 3 year old has started having nightmare constantly and my 7 year old son and 6 year old daughter are withdrawing, even in class. The tell me that Daddy makes them feel that it is their fault that Mommy won’t move back home. We have been separated for over a year and the BS is really wearing on my children. What can I do?
Contact the Arizona Department of Child Welfare.. The number should be in the blue government pages of the telephone book…
Open a case file… They will be able to determine if this is abuse according to the law or not…
Make sure nothing you say or do adds the the stress of the children.. Don’t quiz your kids on their visits with their dad that puts them in the middle of an adult situation they should not be put in the middle of…
File for divorce a separation of over a year is a long time divorce in Arizona takes less than 6 months..
If money is a problem fees can be waived for court cost and you can get a "Do it yourself" divorce kit at any business supply store (under $50.00)… Use the kit and be sure to make an appointment with Child Support Services so they can do the paperwork on alimony and child support to your court date…. (In Maricopa County the office of child support is in the downtown court house just outside the glass doors of the county clerk where you file)…
By not taking definitive action one way or another you are leaving your children in a limbo area because they don’t see movement toward a solution… That also adds to their stress…
While your husband may be wrong yiou are also causing some stress for the children, you can not control what he does but you can do your part in alleviating some of the stress…

What do you think causes people abuse animals?
My 4 year old cat was abused and the experience has never really left her. Even though she was less than 6 weeks old when it happened. We’ve had her since she was 9 weeks old she still sometimes freaks out when she hears men’s voices and still won’t fully accept my dad.
Do you think people who abuse animals are inately evil? Do you think it could be because of something they’ve experienced? Have you got any experience of owning an animal that was abused? Thanks for your answers.
People use their power and strength over animals to abuse them. Also animals can’t speak and so the abuser gets off scot free. I think these people ARE evil, and anyone found guilty of abuse should be subjected to the same level themselves. I haven’t had an abused animal, but I have rescued a few dogs from the cat & dog home. I would rather go there for a pet, then a breeder.

i need reports on child abuse statistics from 1999 till now?
and also i need to know how were child abuse laws haddled from the past of 1999 from now . the comparable diffrence with handdling these issuses.
For the statistics, check out the FBI’s "Crime in the United States" report (often just called CIUS) — it’s released each year, and child abuse/neglect is one of the categories it handles.
As for the other that’s quite state-specific so I can’t help you.

Is verbal abuse punishable by law? Or is it just physical abuse that is?
I know of a home where the father is very verbal abusive to his children and wife, Is this punishable by law? There has been physical abuse in the past. Should they be afraid?
If there was physical abuse then that is punishable by law – verbal is not unfortunately, unless it is hand in hand with physical. Yes they should be afraid – they also should get away and out – it’s a horrible way to live.

What are the legal repercussions for verbal/emotional abuse?
These types of abuse are often downplayed (unlike physical abuse, which is usually taken very seriously) and I was wondering how the verbal/emotional abuse reporting process may be played out.
Realistically, if I report several incidents of verbal and emotional abuse, will it likely be treated seriously and what may happen to the abuser?
You would somehow have to provide proof, like if it was in an email or text message, or if other people were present. The repercussions really depend on the severity of the abuse; if it’s bad enough, it will be taken just as seriously as physical abuse. If you can’t provide any proof or witnesses, the least you could do is get a restraining order.

What do you consider child abuse and normal parent punishments? And are you against it child abuse?
Do you try and stop it?If so how?
some People are not against child abuse.i am founder for a community service group and our next project is this.To stop it.At least do our best to try.
a spanking, a little slap…thats fine every now and then because its not causing physical harm and its establishing a punishment….but like beating up your kids, thats child abuse…i grew up where what you people would consider child abuse was the norm….and we dealt with it when we got old enough…im not gonna do that to my kids, but ill spank them if they deserve it
